Nightlife/Entertainment:

When it's getting dark in Cape Town, the clubbers and party people come out of their houses to enjoy the night. Cape Town is famous for its vibrant nightlife and its wide variety of different establishments to please your every need. Young or old - there is definitely a place to spend the evening.

Start the evening with a sundowner in one of Camps Bay's most favourite spots - La Med. What can be better than watching the sun go down in a spectacular setting while sipping on a cocktail? Try one of their yummy pizzas or dance away on the dancefloor. (www.lamed.co.za)

There are various options if you like live Jazz music:
The Green Dolphin at the V&A Waterfront is the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine while listening to the live performances of various Jazz musicians. A real treat! (www.greendolphin.co.za)
Another great Jazz venue is the Dizzy Jazz Cafe in Camps Bay where you will have live music every night. The venue is less formal than the Green Dolphin and the crowd is mixed. A must for Jazz lovers (The Drive, Camps Bay)
169 On Long has live Jazz music every Friday and invites you to shake your booty. (169 Long Street, Cape Town)
Live Latino music can be enjoyed at the Buena Vista Social Cafe in Green Point which is all about Cuba. So light your cigar and enjoy the night. (www.buenavista.co.za)

The Fez in Hout Street is an excellent club if you want to dance the night away. The interior is designed like 1001 nights and the bartenders are there to fulfill your every need. (www.fez.co.za)
